About Us

Marvelous Mobile Safari is a Botswana-based safari company headquartered in Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. We design and operate intimate, mobile safari experiences that let travelers explore northern Botswana's wildlife and landscapes at a slower, more personal pace.

Founded by local guides who grew up around the Delta and its surrounding concessions, the company was created as an alternative to large, rushed group tours. We focus on small-group mobile safaris—typically no more than six guests per vehicle—so every person has a clear view, time to ask questions, and the chance to follow the animals rather than a fixed schedule.

From our base in Maun we coordinate expeditions into the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve, the Savuti and Linyanti regions, and selected private concessions. Our guides are Botswana-born and raised, with deep knowledge of the waterways, floodplains, and wildlife behavior that define this part of the country. They combine tracking skills with storytelling, explaining not only what you are seeing but how the ecosystem and local communities are connected to it.

We operate open-top 4x4 vehicles and partner with carefully chosen mobile camps and lodges that prioritize low environmental impact. A portion of every booking supports local conservation and community projects in the areas we visit. Our goal is straightforward: give guests an authentic, comfortable, and responsible way to experience Botswana's wild places while keeping groups small and the focus on the land and its wildlife.

Whether you are coming for the Delta's water-based game viewing, the predator concentrations of the northern parks, or a quieter photographic safari, Marvelous Mobile Safari builds itineraries from Maun that put the experience first.

What Guides Us

These principles shape every itinerary, vehicle choice, and guest experience.

🌿

Conservation First

10% of every safari fee goes directly to local anti-poaching units and community-led habitat projects in the parks we visit. We also avoid high-impact camps and work only with operators who follow strict wildlife-viewing protocols.

🦁

Born-and-Raised Guides

All our lead guides grew up near the parks they work in. They speak local languages, maintain long-standing relationships with rangers and communities, and bring stories that go far beyond the standard script.

✨

Mobile Luxury, Not Excess

Open-top 4x4s with comfortable seating, high-quality bedding in partner camps, and thoughtful details (binoculars, charging, cold drinks). We focus on what enhances the experience rather than what merely looks expensive.
